How to get removed
- Open hunter.io/claim and enter your work email. Personal webmail cannot be claimed — only an address at a company domain.
- Open the email they send and click 'Claim this email address'.
- You will then see exactly what Hunter holds and which web pages it came from.
- Press 'Delete my information'.
- Responsible for a whole company domain? Email privacy@hunter.io instead — they process those in about a day once your authority is verified.
Indexes work email addresses found on public web pages. If your work address has ever appeared on a company site, a press release or a conference page, you are probably in it.
Why you come back
This one does not re-acquire, so a completed removal holds. Most do not: the holders that buy public records re-buy them about every four months, which is why the rest of this register is re-checked rather than ticked off.
Opt-out processes change. If a step no longer matches what you see, tell us and we’ll update it.
