How to get removed

  1. Open optoutprescreen.com and choose the five-year electronic opt-out.
  2. Give the identifying details it asks for so the bureaux can find your file.
  3. For a permanent opt-out, print and post their signed form instead.
  4. Expect offers from firms that do not buy bureau lists to continue.

Run jointly by Equifax, Experian, Innovis and TransUnion. It suppresses prescreened credit and insurance offers; it does not touch your credit file or any other marketing list.

This one does not re-acquire, so a completed removal holds. Most do not: the holders that buy public records re-buy them about every four months, which is why the rest of this register is re-checked rather than ticked off.

Opt-out processes change. If a step no longer matches what you see, tell us and we’ll update it.
