How to remove yourself from Spokeo
United States · People search · Difficulty: Easy · 5–10 minutes
Spokeo aggregates names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, social profiles, and family links from thousands of sources into one searchable profile.
What Spokeo can expose about you
- Full name
- Addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Social profiles
- Relatives
Step-by-step removal
- On spokeo.com, search your full name (add your city/state to narrow it).
- Open the listing that is actually you and copy its URL from the address bar.
- Go to the opt-out page and paste that profile URL into the URL field.
- Enter your email, tick the reCAPTCHA, and click Opt Out.
- Open Spokeo's confirmation email and click the link to finish.
Open the official Spokeo opt-out page →
Find your listing first, then opt out by its URL.
You may have several Spokeo listings, and each URL must be opted out individually.
Keeping it removed
Most people-search sites keep ingesting fresh public records, so a removed listing can reappear months later under a new URL. The reliable fix is cutting off the sources where you can (for UK users, start with the open electoral register) and re-checking periodically.
