How to get removed
- Search your own name on geneanet.org and open the profile page where you appear.
- At the foot of that page, follow the link about your rights over the data.
- Click through to the owner of the family tree that lists you, then 'Contacter le propriétaire de l'arbre'.
- Tick the box asking Geneanet to be copied in — that is what makes them monitor whether the tree owner actually complies.
- Repeat for every tree you appear in. Geneanet handles these tree by tree, not account-wide.

Why you come back
This one does not re-acquire, so a completed removal holds. Most do not: the holders that buy public records re-buy them about every four months, which is why the rest of this register is re-checked rather than ticked off.
