How to get removed

  1. Search your own name on familytreenow.com.
  2. Open the record detail page and check it is actually you.
  3. Click the Opt Out button on that record page.
  4. If you found the record through a search engine instead, copy its URL and send it through their contact page.

Genealogy-framed people search. There is no form: you find your own record and press Opt Out on the record itself.

Most people-search sites keep buying fresh public records, and FamilyTreeNow is one of them. A removed listing can reappear months later under a new URL. The reliable fix is cutting off the source where you can — in the UK that is the open electoral register — and re-checking on a schedule.

Opt-out processes change. If a step no longer matches what you see, tell us and we’ll update it.
